It is prized for its striking, scarlet red flowers that bloom profusely in early spring, before the leaves emerge. Care Quince adapts to most any type of well drained soil, preferring a loamy soil. The do not like wet or soggy soil as they tend to be more on the side of drought tolerant once established.
