Guigal, founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in the ancient village of Ampuis, is in the heart of Cte Rtie. Beginning in 1923 at the age of 14, Etienne Guigal made wine for over 67 vintages before retiring and turning the reigns over to his son, Marcel Guigal, in 1961. Marcel's hard work and perseverance enabled the Guigals to acquire several other wineries to expand
