On the attack there is a full range of fruit, from ripe blackberry through to high toned pomegranate, accented by notes of smoke and spice. The palate is tense and displays mineral depth, with a silky vibrancy but also richness and depth. Nothing is wanting, really, for a super Chambertin that should age for decade. Marvellous.
