U.S. Civil War Percussion Cap Box By Henry G. Haedrich Pin the division began its movementHenry G. Haedrich of Philadelphia had U. S. army contracts for well over 50,000 sets of infantry accoutrements from 1862 to 1865. This is a nice, clean example of his work, clearly marked on the inner flap and outer tongue. Nice finish to the black leather, showing wrinkles from flexing, and with belt loops and side ears. (Side ears missing a couple stitches)The wool fleece inside, meant to keep the percussion caps from bouncing out, is still present.
